Those about to die

C’mon, here we go again. I started writing two years ago because of a tragic event that happened to me. You can check my first article;) it talks about it. I don’t know why I wrote it, but it made me feel better, so I decided to continue. I wrote a few others, but it was really difficult to stay consistent and publish every week or month. I became lazy, honestly.

But now, it’s a new year, and with every new year comes this weird mix of hope and delusion. So, here I am, promising myself (and you, if you’re still reading) that I’ll try to write once a week. Let’s see how long it lasts. Place your bets. Anyway, back to the article. Despite the title, this isn’t about gladiators or people on their deathbeds. In fact, it’s the exact opposite. It’s about something much older: dinos. No, not the Jurassic Park kind (although imagine how cool that would be). I’m talking about OG coins in the crypto world. You know, the ones that everyone thought were extinct, but somehow, they’re stomping around again like they just discovered cardio.

The Fossils Are Alive

Crypto has always been a jungle, filled with loud noise and chaotic energy. While the newer coins are busy showing off their flashy tricks, riding trends like AI agents or politifi narratives, the OG ones are quietly adapting to new realities. They’re finding ways to stay relevant, embracing updates, and proving that survival isn’t about flash — it’s about grit and evolution.

Remenber Apple Vision Pro lmaoo ? New coins are like that, they are flashy gadgets everyone wants to try — exciting, shiny, but often short-lived. OG/Dino coins are like that trusty Swiss Army knife you’ve had for years. It’s not flashy, but it’s versatile, reliable, and always gets the job done. Instead of chasing every new trend, these projects are carving out lasting value through real innovation: connecting blockchains, strengthening governance, and building sustainable ecosystems. They’re proving that staying relevant isn’t about the loudest buzz; it’s about meaningful evolution — even if most of them look serious on paper but have poor ecosystems (Some even call them zombies coins ).

And yet, for years, these coins were treated like they were stuck in tar pits. “Too slow,” they said. “Too old,” they scoffed. But guess what? They’ve survived the harshest crypto winters and are still here, reminding us they’re not ready for the retirement home just yet. Sure, some have ecosystems quieter than a MySpace group chat in 2025, but their ability to adapt and reinvent is unmatched. It’s like seeing your grandpa suddenly become a TikTok star. You’re skeptical at first, then you see him nailing the latest dance craze, and you’re like, “Whoa, respect.” Okay, maybe not the dance craze, but you get the idea.

Why the Comeback?

It’s simple: reliability. These OG coins have been through the wars. They’ve survived crashes, and the collective panic of thousands of Twitter and Reddit threads (Am even one of them lmaooo 😆) . People trust them because they’ve consistently demonstrated resilience and value, navigating challenges with a reliability that newer projects often lack.

Plus, nostalgia plays a role. We love a good comeback story, don’t we ? Whether it’s Rocky Balboa, Britney Spears, or your uncle’s band from the ’90s, there’s something satisfying about seeing someone (or something) rise from the ashes. And for many, the hope that these OG coins will reclaim their all-time highs is part of that allure. Here’s the twist: some of them have already surpassed their market cap ATHs, even if their price doesn’t show it. It’s a classic case of math confusion — more coins in circulation mean the price per coin doesn’t hit those euphoric numbers again. But hey, that doesn’t stop wallets from dreaming. Will they moon? Maybe not like before, but the allure of a comeback keeps the faith alive.

What next ?

The future for OG coins isn’t just about staying relevant; it’s about redefining their role in an ever-evolving ecosystem. Will they continue to adapt to new narratives like ai, memecoins, or scaling solutions ? Or will they settle into becoming the steady, foundational pieces of a broader crypto landscape?

What’s clear is that these projects need to keep proving their worth. Users are no longer satisfied with promises of innovation — they want real, tangible utility. OG coins might not have the hype they once did, but they have something more valuable: trust built over years of navigating chaos. If they can keep delivering while embracing modern demands, their next chapter might be their most exciting yet.

So, the question isn’t if they’ll survive — it’s how they’ll thrive in the next wave of crypto evolution.

I’m just translating my thoughts through this article, feel free to give me your opinions and tell me what you think. Thanks for your reading ❤️, See you🙂
